Guest Post from Bob Morford (Team Member) via Facebook

Thursday — Hey Ya’ll… I’m about 12 hours away from going back to Honduras after three years away due to Covid. I’m fortunate to be a part of a ten-person team going back as part of a medical and food mission with a group called “Luke 9:2″… (“And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to perform healing.”) It’s great to be a part of this mission team and I hope to share pictures and info about the trip over the next several days. I hope you’ll find the stories interesting and let it encourage you to try something similar with your friends. And, no, you don’t have to go all the way to Honduras to find people to help. This was our calling. We hope you find yours!

Having made it through the airport unscathed, meaning no one lost any luggage, we loaded onto an old American school bus that was “driven” all the way south to Honduras, where some of the roads are quickly testing its engineering.May be an image of 3 people, people standing and outdoors

But it was a great trip to our home base in Cofradia, complete with a great rainbow to light the way! And the day ended with introductions of our team members to some of the eight doctors, four dentists, and two dental assistants who have answered the call to provide medical care to the poor and needy. Luke 9:2 Ministries, through donations from many people, is the driving force for making this trip happen. We’ll introduce the medical team folks tomorrow when we stage the first of five days of helping everyone we can who comes asking for care.May be an image of 2 people, cake and indoor

For tonight, we ended the day with a Birthday party for our Pharmacist, Kelley, age undisclosed! Maybe, we’ll take a run at that tomorrow as well!
